Written and directed by Roopa Rao, Gantumoote, set in the 90s, is about a 16-year-old girl who embarks on a journey of life where she deals with understanding herself, the changing world, bullying, academic pressure and her transcending journey of first love.
Gantumoote was extremely well received by critics and audiences. It created history by becoming the FIRST Kannada film to win the Best Screenplay award at the New York Indian Film Festival 2019, and went on to win laurels at various film festivals world wide. It also had a successful theatrical run of 50 days.
Astu Studios was extensively involved in the post production and marketing phases of the film, which included VFx, creation (shoot and edit) of post production videos and managing the content on the official social handles of the feature film.
